Actor Bhupinder Singh finds himself in legal trouble after he and his associates allegedly opened fire, resulting in the death of a man and serious injuries to three others in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh. The incident reportedly stems from a dispute over tree felling.
Fatal Shooting Incident Details
According to reports, Bhupinder and his associates fired over 10 rounds using licensed and illegal weapons at four members of a family. Govind (23) lost his life in the incident, while Gurdeep Singh (father), Meera Bai (mother), and Amreek Singh (brother) sustained severe injuries and are in critical condition.
Following the shooting, the police have made two arrests related to the incident. The injured Singh family has accused the police of negligence, claiming that their earlier complaint on November 19 went unaddressed.
The tragic incident reportedly originated from a dispute between Gurdeep Singh and his neighbor Bhupinder over the cutting of Eucalyptus trees on Singh’s farm. Despite a complaint filed on November 19, no action was taken by the police. The recent altercation led to Bhupinder and his aides firing multiple rounds.
Police Action and Investigation
Moradabad DIG, Muniraj, visited the injured victims, ensuring a thorough investigation. Currently, authorities are actively seeking two other accused individuals. Responding to allegations of police negligence, the DIG asserted the initiation of a comprehensive inquiry, pledging strict action upon the discovery of any lapses. Key police personnel, including the in-charge of Badhapur police station, have already faced suspension.
