Record-breaking Player Lionel Messi lost the game to Saudi Arabia but they made an epic comeback in the second half of the game with a 2:1 win over Argentina. The all-time winning team lost their opening fixture by minnows Saudi Arabia at the grandest stage. After the dreadful performance by Argentina at FIFA 2022, Messi told Argentinian media, “It’s a situation that this group has never gone through, it been a while since we suffered such a tough blow, we didn’t expect to start like this. There are no excuses. We have to be more united than ever. We have to prepare for what’s coming, we have to win and it depends on us.”
On the other hand, Saudi Arabia declared a public holiday for all sectors on 23rd November as its unexpected victory over Argentina. This was declared with the advice of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, the Publication reported.
