The OOJ Foundation, a non-profit spiritual organization dedicated to holistic upliftment through energy channelization, believes the full potential of human possibilities can be attained if we integrate the elements of nature by introducing them as a working mechanism in our daily life and living. It will smoothen human progress by reducing friction.
Yogi Priyavrat Animesh, a strong advocate of harnessing nature’s power, regards water as Mother Nature’s most precious and essential gift, shaping and guiding our way of life. In line with this belief, the foundation has taken a call, ‘Conserve Water, Secure the Future,’ a global initiative to preserve and sustain water as a vital, unfailing resource for future generations worldwide.
As part of its commitment to a more conscious and sustainable planet, the OOJ Foundation recently participated in the 8th India Water Week in New Delhi from 17 to 20 Sept 2024. This participation showcased their solidarity with the vital cause of water conservation as an integral part of our ecosystem.
The India Water Week
During India Water Week we were focused on various water-related disasters, sustainable groundwater quality, addressing the key challenges to it, water conservation and management strategies, and above all, improving water governance and financing.
Yogi Ji-Championing the Cause of Water Conservation
Yogi Ji, a humanitarian par excellence, thinks sustaining water ecosystems is critical, as they are increasingly threatened by pollution, over-extraction of water resources, habitat destruction, and climate change. These ecosystems, which include rivers, lakes, wetlands, estuaries, and oceans, provide essential services to humans and wildlife, such as drinking water, food, energy, transportation, and habitat for numerous species.
He strongly believes pollution from industrial, agricultural, and urban sources contaminates water bodies, leading to the loss of biodiversity and the degradation of water quality. Habitat destruction, through activities such as deforestation and dam construction, disrupts the natural flow of water and displaces species. According to him, integrated water resource management practices are essential to achieve water ecosystem sustainability. This approach involves balancing human water needs with environmental protection. It encourages efficient water use, pollution prevention, and the restoration of degraded ecosystems.
He further stresses that addressing climate change is key to ensuring water ecosystem sustainability. Rising temperatures, altered precipitation patterns, and increased frequency of extreme weather events all have profound impacts on water systems. Mitigation strategies such as reducing greenhouse gas emissions and adapting to climate impacts through nature-based solutions are essential.
He sums up that ensuring the sustainability of water ecosystems is crucial for biodiversity, human livelihoods, and the planet’s overall health.
While emphatically voicing his concern about the urgent need to sustain water ecosystems, Yogi Ji also shared his spiritual insights on water as a fundamental element of nature, offering a deeper understanding of its significance.
Spiritual Significance of Water-
He says the grace of water lies in its fluidity. It purifies, heals, and transforms. By now, everyone knows that our bodies consist of about 72% water, making it the most important element that governs us.
When water is clear and still, it can be a mirror; we can see up to its bottom. When the element of water is mastered, it gives us a clear, quiet, and composed mind; we reach a heightened state of clarity, awareness, and adaptability.
When our mind is still, and we look deeply into the mirror of wisdom, we see the essence of life in its entirety. No longer obscured by the waves of thought, we experience the clarity of vision. To do that, we must let go of our illusions, not cling to the past, and not be caught up in an indecisive whirl of what we want or don’t want.
He further emphasizes that throughout human history, the rise of civilization is closely tied to water, as seen with the Sindhu or Indus Valley Civilization, which flourished along the banks of the mighty Saraswati River. Over time, the river’s decay has been viewed as a key factor in the gradual decline of the nation’s spiritual essence and cultural heritage.
Later in the year in December in Germany. The event will celebrate the Naad Yoga practice as a medium for energy transformation as it is associated with the primal essence, the sound, through which, it is believed, this entire projection has materialized.
Since its inception three years ago, the OOJ Foundation has remained steadfast in its commitment to creating a better and healthier tomorrow. The foundation has made significant progress, not only in the field of energy channeling but also by actively engaging with pressing environmental issues. In line with their tag word, ‘Living is a Conscious Choice, not a Chance,’ the foundation aims to elevate the quality of life globally, paving the way for a more conscious and sustainable planet for future generations.
