After Arshdeep Singh and Mohammed Siraj halted New Zealand with game-changing spells, India won the third and final T20I on Tuesday, using the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern system to win the three-match series, 1-0.
As India knocked out New Zealand for 160 in 19.4 overs, Arshdeep and Siraj shared eight wickets. At 130 for two in the 16th over, New Zealand was still going strong, but India made an incredible comeback under the leadership of Arshdeep (4/37) and Siraj (4/17)
After Devon Conway (59, 49b) and Glenn Phillips (54, 33b) supported the innings, New Zealand lost eight wickets for just 30 runs. When play was halted due to rain, India’s position was alarmingly low at 75 for 4. When it happened, it was a DLS par-score. The match was never finished and ended in a draw.
