Medical colleges play a vital role in ndia. They provide quality medical education to students who wish to pursue a career in medicine. They also offer medical research facilities and support to medical professionals. In addition, medical colleges also provide health care services to the community. But there are still a very less number of medical colleges in many states of India.
Now Uttar Pradesh Government has come up with a solution to this. The Uttar Pradesh government is planning to set up six new medical colleges in the Public-Private Partnership model. The Investors will be selected through a tender process. The Principal Secretary of Medical Education of UP has told the media that Uttar Pradesh has become the first state to provide tenders for medical colleges in PPP mode. These medical colleges will be in Mahoba, Mainpuri, Bagpat, Hamirpur, Hathras, and Kasganj. The projects will cost over 1525 crore of which, financial support of 1012 crore will be provided by the central government.
These medical colleges after their completion will be very beneficial for the students and the general public of the whole state. Medical colleges are the need of the hour and these colleges will fill the gap of low numbers of medical colleges in India and will be great for the general public.
