According to the National Advance Information Center – UAE, any passport holder with a single name (word), whether in a surname or given name, will not be accepted by the UAE immigration and the passenger will be not permitted to travel further, the new policy does not apply to current UAE resident card holders and is only relevant to travelers on a visit, work, or temporary visa. People who are getting ready to travel to and from the UAE must make sure that their primary (first name) and secondary (surname) names are properly listed on their passports.

There are many passengers whose entire name or a single name is mentioned in the first column or surname in their passport. People from North India typically have these problems with their passports. According to the new rule, these travelers won’t receive a visa, and if one has already been granted, immigration will consider them ineligible.

It has been found that the new modification was implemented for security purposes. People who had only their first names included on their passports are no longer permitted to board flights out of the nation, according to the airlines.
