Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt has expressed her concerns over balancing her personal and professional life, saying that she often feels anxious about whether she is doing the right thing for both her baby and work. The 29-year-old actress, who welcomed her first child with actor Ranbir Kapoor earlier this year, said that she wants to be able to give her best to both roles.
In a recent interview, Bhatt said, “It’s a constant battle in my head. I want to be there for my child and give him all the love and attention he deserves, but at the same time, I don’t want to compromise on my work. It’s important for me to be able to balance both.”
The actress, who has several films lined up for release, including the highly anticipated “RRR” and “Gangubai Kathiawadi”, added that she is grateful for the support system she has in her family and friends.
“I’m fortunate to have a great support system in my family and friends. They understand the demands of my job and are always there to help me out. But even then, it’s a constant struggle to find the right balance,” she said.
Bhatt’s comments come at a time when many women around the world are grappling with similar concerns about balancing work and motherhood. A recent study found that the pandemic has only exacerbated the challenges faced by working mothers, with many reporting increased stress and burnout.
However, the actress is determined to keep working and said that she hopes to set an example for her child by pursuing her dreams.
“I want my child to grow up knowing that it’s possible to have both a career and a family. I hope to be able to show him that it’s important to follow your passion and do what makes you happy,” she said.
Despite her anxieties, Bhatt is looking forward to the release of her upcoming projects and is excited to share them with her fans. “I feel grateful for the opportunities I’ve had in my career and I’m excited for what’s to come. I hope my fans will continue to support me,” she said.
