IIT Kanpur has opened applications for eight e-master degree programs, and GATE scores are not required. The programs will be conducted in collaboration with industry partners. Applicants can apply online through the institute’s website.
The e-master degree programs include Artificial Intelligence, Business Analytics, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Electric Vehicles, Environmental Science and Engineering, Nano Science and Technology, and Smart Manufacturing. The programs are designed to provide working professionals with advanced knowledge and skills in their respective fields.
The courses will be conducted online with pre-recorded video lectures, live webinars, and online discussions. The programs will be taught by faculty members of IIT Kanpur and industry experts. The institute has collaborated with companies like IBM, Reliance, and Tata Power to develop the course curriculum and offer industry insights.
The courses will have a duration of two years, and the fee for each program is Rs. 2 lakhs. Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA. The selection process will be based on the candidate’s academic record, work experience, and statement of purpose.
The institute aims to provide flexible and accessible education to professionals who are unable to pursue full-time programs due to work commitments. The e-master degree programs will allow professionals to upgrade their skills and knowledge without compromising their work schedules.
The decision to not require GATE scores for these programs has been taken to provide equal opportunities to all candidates. The institute aims to attract a diverse pool of applicants from different backgrounds and experiences.
The application process for these programs has already started, and the last date for submitting applications is May 6, 2022. The institute plans to start the academic session in July 2022.
