Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that India with such a magnificent past should be full of self-assurance and respect. However, he regretted that invented narratives taught up to this point have developed a sense of inferiority in the nation.
According to him, the new India is correcting the errors of the previous decades by preserving its heritage. To develop India, it is necessary to shed a limited perception of the past.
That is the reason the country has made the oath of eradicating all remnants of slave mentality and declared that December 26 will be marked as “Veer Bal Diwas” to remember the sacrifice of the sons of Guru Gobind Singh, Sahibzadas Baba Zorawar Singh, and Baba Fateh Singh.
He also said that when a nation’s basic values change, the nation’s future evolves with time and the current generation needs to understand its past for preserving a nation’s beliefs.
The new generation of young people always look for role models all the time for inspiration and learning, that is why the Prime Minister of India always sticks to the principles of Lord Ram, draws motivation from Gautam Buddha and Lord Mahavir, tries to live by the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev, and learn from Maharana Pratap and Chhatrapati Veer Shivaji’s practices.
