A recent study has revealed that Apple’s Safari web browser is the safest among all browsers available in the market. However, the study also found that only 1% of Indians use Safari as their primary web browser.

The study was conducted by a leading cybersecurity firm and analyzed the security features of popular web browsers such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Apple Safari. The study found that Safari is the most secure browser due to its privacy features, built-in anti-tracking technology, and strong encryption.

Despite the safety benefits of using Safari, only 1% of Indians use it as their primary web browser. The majority of Indian internet users prefer Google Chrome, which holds a market share of over 70%. This is followed by Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Opera.

Experts believe that the low adoption rate of Safari in India can be attributed to the popularity of Google products in the country. Google’s Android operating system holds a significant market share in India, and many users prefer to stick to Google’s ecosystem of products.

However, cybersecurity experts warn that using popular browsers such as Chrome can also make users vulnerable to cyber attacks. These browsers are often targeted by hackers due to their popularity and lack of strong security features.

To protect themselves from cyber threats, experts recommend using Safari or other secure browsers that offer strong encryption, anti-tracking technology, and privacy features. It is also important for users to regularly update their web browsers and use strong passwords to secure their online accounts.
