Sundar Pichai gets awarded the Padma Bhushan for Trade and Industry category. He becomes one of the earlier awardees this year. He received the award in the presence of his family in San Francisco. Taranjit Singh Sandhu, the ambassador of the US to India hands the Padma Bhushan award to Sundar Pichai.
While receiving the Padma Bhushan award Pichai said, “I am deeply grateful to the Indian government and the people of India for this immense honor. He further says about India as India is a part of me, I carry it wherever I go, unlike this beautiful award which I will keep somewhere safe.
Sundar Pichai is the CEO of Google. He also told that “I was fortunate to grow up in a family that cherished learning and knowledge, with parents who sacrificed a lot to make sure I had opportunities to explore my interests”.
Sandhu also said about Pichai. How beautifully and intellectually he had put forward the technology. All the transformation and revolution that is happening will make the use of Google to another level.
