Thieves in the US have stolen 436 iPhones worth Rs4.10 crore from an Apple store after digging a tunnel into the building. The heist took place in the early hours of the morning, with the thieves using a jackhammer and other tools to break through the floor of the store.

The thieves reportedly spent several hours inside the store, loading the iPhones into bags before escaping through the tunnel. The theft was discovered later in the morning when staff arrived to open the store.

More About The Incident

The stolen iPhones are believed to be the latest models, with a retail value of over Rs9 lakh each. The total value of the stolen goods is estimated to be around Rs4.10 crore.

The theft has shocked the local community, with many expressing their disbelief at the audacity of the thieves. The police have launched an investigation and are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Also, this is not the first time that thieves have targeted an Apple store. In 2018, thieves in California stole over $27,000 worth of products from an Apple store after breaking into the store using a car. In 2016, thieves in Paris stole over $1 million worth of products from an Apple store after driving a car through the front door.

Lastly, Apple has not yet commented on the latest theft, but the company has previously taken measures to improve the security of its stores. In some locations, the company has installed bollards to prevent cars from being driven into the stores, and security guards are often present during opening hours.

With the high value of many electronic devices, including smartphones and laptops, criminals are increasingly turning to these products as a target for theft. As a result, technology companies and law enforcement agencies are working together to improve security measures and prevent further thefts.
