Anurag Kashyap is one of the most outspoken person in Bollywood. No matter what happens, Anurag Kashyap is not afraid to put out his opinion in public. The Gangs of Wasseypur director is known for his strong opinions. Now Kashyap has again given his opinion, speaking at the round table which was hosted by Galatta Plus, the director has spoken on the burning topic of Pan India movies trend.
He talked about the recent success that many of the south based movies Like Pushpa: The Rise, KGF, etc got at the box-office across different regions. Now after the success of these movies, Bollywood movie makers are trying to copy the sucesss formula by making their own “pan India” movies. According to Kashyap, this tend is destroying the Bollywood. He expressed his view on this that because of the success of these movies, producers are only trying to copying the trend and not working to bring out different stuff. He gave the example of the Marathi Blockbuster Sairat and how it changed the Marathi film industry. He said that he told the director of Sairat Nagraj Manjule, about the movie will destroy the Marathi industry because now everyone will think about earning money by following the same formula.
